So for a quick update -- Todd is still an assistant principal at Olle Middle School, and I have now moved to Kerr High School. I won't bore you with the details of any of that here...you have to call or visit for that pleasure.
On to what you really check this page out for -- updates with Will. All is good here -- his leg seems to be back to normal --yay! We have spent the last month enjoying some of the toddler friendly places that are bearable in this crazy hot Houston summer. We've had a great time -- especially because Elyse has been able to join us for most of the fun. This pictures don't even come close to showing all the fun, but here's a few of my favorites.
I love this one -- and it, yet again, makes me want a fancy camera! Melissa took this one of Will at the butterfly exhibit. I think Will and Elyse enjoyed the play area at the end of the whole thing just as much as the actual butterflies -- although those were a hit too.

We also checked out the Children's Museum -- which we quickly realized was NOT the place to be in the summer when every kid in town is on vacation. It is so much fun -- but way too busy and crowded for little ones. Definitely a place to go back to when all the kids are in school. :)
Of course the kid can find a train anywhere...
And speaking of trains...one of Will's favorite discoveries this summer was the train at Herman park. It's just a couple of dollars to ride it and Elyse and Will love it. It's also oh so nicely placed right in the middle of the zoo, the dinosaurs, the childrens museum...so we pretty much have to ride it as soon as we hit the museum district.
This past weekend Elyse got a new toy in her backyard -- a swing set! She invited Will over to play and check it out Saturday. They had a great time swinging, sliding, and splashing around in the pool. Hopefully by the time we are able to do it again it will be a little cooler...
Here's the cuties enjoying some TV time after playing hard all afternoon...aren't they sweet? We had to have proof that they really did like each other and want to sit by each other at one point...:)
So there you have it, the end of a great summer and the beginning of school schedules and routines once again. But the best part is -- it's almost football season! :)
