Go Ball!

Well, it hasn't taken very long into football season to see that we have a fan on our hands! Of course it's not long he has a lot of choice...Go Ball!

100 Miles!

This past weekend was an eventful one around here! Todd's birthday was Friday and he decided that the best way to begin the next year was to ride in the Tour de Cure -- a 100 mile bike ride! Will and I went to cheer him on at a few of the rest stops and the Simmons family came out to help. Lucky for us because Melissa takes great pictures! :) Not to mention that they helped to entertain Will and I -- six hours trekking across the countryside can take a toll on ya...:)

Here are the kids waiting for Todd at one rest stop -- and dressed to cheer on the Huskers as soon as the ride is over!

Yeah Daddy! Will was so excited to see Todd at each rest stop and would try and get him to stay...

I'll just sit here dad...

Todd riding back off into the countryside...

After catching Todd at a couple of the rest stops we took one of our own by grabbing some lunch. Then it was off to the finish line to watch him come in. By this time it was well past nap time and Will had been playing ALL day. Needless to say, the little guy was wiped out! Here he is waiting for Todd to come across the finish line...he just kept lying down and saying "night, night"...bless his heart, he hung in there!

And it's the finish line!!! We were so proud of Todd and he is so thankful for all the donations -- it was a great day, a great cause, and a great accomplishment. Thanks all!

Cruisin the neighborhood

As I said before, Will loves to be outside. Right now the favorite activity is to either 1)walk up and down the sidewalk and wave at all the cars, saying, "bye" to all who leave the neighborhood OR 2) riding his fancy 4-wheeler. As you can see here, he's not shy about going off on his own...:)

Just a couple of pics to hold up to my promise...

Other than chasing this little guy around, we're really not doing a whole lot around here. Of course keeping up with him takes up plenty of our time. :)

Will LOVES to be outside. Lately he has decided that it is way more fun in front of the house than in back. Maybe he's tired of looking at our raggedy fence in the backyard that we have got to fix sooner rather than later...:) But I think the real attraction is the people watching. He loves to walk up and down the street, waving at the cars, thinking everything is a "school bus" and watching the neighborhood "big boys" play football at the end of the block. He also rides around on his fancy wheels he's got here...note the flashy boots that go so well with his outfit. :)

Update

Okay, so I realize that I am not doing so well with my resolution to post on here more often...but can I blame it on the fact that I started a new job?? :)

We are back in the swing of things around here...school has started and so has the routine. So far, so good. Will hasn't missed a beat with Miss Wanda...eating chili cheese fries, roast beef, and anything else that Paula Deen showcases on the Food Network -- needless to say it's no shock where Will gets his "table muscle" as his dad so nicely puts it.

Here are my guys during the new nightly ritual...Will likes to sit on the couch with his "computer" (thanks AJ!) and watch "Elmo" -- Also known as Sesame Street to the rest of the world. Elmo is one of the newer words around our house -- along with Bubbles, and "GO, GO, GO!" I guess we have the multi-syllable thing down that the doctor said he should be able to do by 18 months...:)

Will is also really enjoying Skyping now that he realizes that there are people talking to him in the computer. Feel free to call us anytime -- we love to chat!

As you can see the drooling has not slowed down either...I swear he has had a steady stream his entire life! He's trying to cut the last four major teeth in front -- and they have been attempting to break through for what seems like an eternity. I am hoping that when they make it through the river down his chest will dry up...

That's all for now -- I really promise to do better!! :)
